Final Thoughts on Salman Rushdie's "Midnight's Children"

Well, you know, that was pretty good.


  1. The last 200 or so pages were absolutely worth getting to. Also, the prose style settled down a lot and there finally seemed to be a set of ideas holding the narrative together over long stretches. So this was sort of like my reading of Moby-Dick, which had some rough patches along the way but in the end I'm glad I read it. Though I'll probably read more Melville before I read more Rushdie.
