August 27, 2012

I can think of few better ways to spend a birthday than shopping for books.

  1. The book in my hand is Zweig's biography of Marie Antoinette. I also picked up novels by Conrad, Spark and Woolf. Mighty Reader got a nice complete Beatrix Potter and a Henry James. All of this was after we'd gone to the King Tut exhibit, which was supercool.

  2. Happy birthday! I love that pic. :) I'm jealous about the King Tut exhibit.

  3. Charlie, thanks! I am now half a century old. Think of that. Because I refuse to.

Michelle, thanks! If I'd known MR was taking my photo, I'd have done something about my hair. Like worn a hat, maybe.

    The Tut was very cool.

  4. I'll be 50 in November, and the half-century thing only bothers me if I'm not accomplishing my goals. Yep, it bothers me!
